This made me go look up my district — it’s 3 — and though I knew it was gerrymandered, it was still shocking to see how badly. I wish I could vote for her, but like Abram, I can’t.

I keep buying the stuff to make things then not doing—eating cheese crackers and pickles for dinner and I can’t keep wasting food/money. Ugh

For me, it’s health insurance (only possible through the marketplace) and groceries. The worries aren’t personally affecting me (we don’t get SNAP and we aren’t immigrants) but still create a mental burden. It really is crazy.

In my experience (we had another for 13 years) they all are, though in slightly different ways. Cute enough to balance it out some, though.

It infuriates me that people can't see how we've been snowed. They think that we pay more therefore we get more, when that's demonstrably not true. I think it's all a giant con, and a whole lot of people have been suckered. #FreelanceFriends

This is largely what is fueling my anxiety lately -- I've used up my cushion and don't see a clear path to rebuilding it. I have ideas (as you know), but it's all pretty iffy. #FreelanceFriends

My elected reps at the state and federal levels are awful. Like, the worst of the worst. I'm working with a group to help change that it, but it's an uphill battle. Like, climbing a sheer cliff type of uphill. #FreelanceFriends

I just go through the website. To complicate things, I live in Tennessee, where there's no state help at all, and 2 years ago, BCBS suddenly stopped working with the hospital system where all of our doctors are (RAGE) in the middle of the year. #FreelanceFriends

I use Wordpress, upload PDFs as media files and link to them. It’s a pain but no additional cost (beyond hosting).

Yes. And we have to just keep working and paying taxes and worrying about our bills and the cost of groceries. We, who are mostly good and decent people, have to deal with this nasty mess.
