I was denied entry, detained, and deported from the USA over the last 48 hours because of my reporting on the Columbia student protests

@boztank.bsky.social just some friendly feedback. This is a great product but the new update to the meta raybans is *very* user hostile. I should not have to agree to new terms just to continue using them. I paid for them. You’ve just opened the door for your competitors even wider.

Nobody is asking for live translation on their meta raybans. Solution looking for a problem. Just ship glasses with a better camera.

#grab app is dominant in Singapore and has the worst customer service. all AI based, no humans with a clue. Clearly a strategy of, you can’t have bad customer service kpi if you have no customer service. Totally allowable in #Singapore where the customer never comes first.

@simonwillison.net seeking advice, I am an average Joe at a bank, trying to convince a group of senior managers that declared we got a c500m USD uplift from AI last year - to think more wholistic and consider donating to open source (eg PSF). Last year they gave zero. It’s a battle. Any ideas?

for those visiting Singapore, twist the rules and go to *Burnt Ends _bar_* (not the restaurant) - its more fun, can have most of the menu from the restuarant and you dont need to wait months to get in.

The push by insurers to use Telemedicine is the worst thing to happen in the health industry. I suspect in the next 10 years there will be data showing its "worse patient care". Random doctor, 2 min conversation. Telemedicine was suppose to be talking to your existing doctor via VC.
