I don’t know, but I’d expect the board and recruitment team to have a better idea of these things than I do, it’s literally their job. I can very much be arsed to see if another manager’s in game management is better, because the alternative of sticking with him is we undoubtedly go down.

I’m pretty certain he’s going to start Brendy. He hinted at it yesterday. He’s picked his hill to die on. Unfortunately, that hill is also going to kill our chances of staying up. He’s not got the best set of cards to pay but he’s refusing to play his best hand every time, for some reason.

Yeah, he’s not been great recently but he started the season really well. Blips in form happen. I think if the forward line was stronger, there be less pressure on the defence. They’re horrendously exposed because we’re always only 1 mistake from losing. Score a few goals & the pressure dissipates.

Dunno if I’m ready to write Bijol off yet. He’s barely played, so he’s not going to have the understanding of Struijk/Ampadu & Rodon. It could happen. Can’t escape the weak as piss forward line though. Brendy as a winger & only 1 creative attacking option, game in game out in the PL is unforgivable.

Can only guess Brendy has some incriminating evidence of the firebeast.

Fair point. We tried that last time and it didn’t work, but we tried too late. Imagine we’d gone for Iraola in the October of the relegation season, who knows. I just don’t buy into the idea there’s no one better. Because this clearly is not going to work.

I agree with your first point. I’ve no confidence in the board, the summer transfer window debacle didn’t really show them in a great light. Regarding your last point, that really sums up why it has to happen now. Leave it any later and it becomes impossible. Has to be done before Christmas.

No idea. It’s on the board to have a plan in place. They knew it was likely as they nearly binned him after promotion. All I know is It’s not working & if they stick, we’ll go down. I don’t believe there’s not a single manager out there who is available who could get a better tune out of this squad.
