Jet isn’t really a prominent character in the Sonic series like Amy is though, he’s mostly in the spin-offs.
Even then, he wasn’t actually playable in the M&S Olympic Games until Rio 2016 & Tokyo 2020, the others he was a boss character (your playable Mii could unlock a Jet costume though).

I 2nd the indie games (mostly since their cheap/on sale a lot), I don’t plan on getting a Switch 2 for a while, but Bananza definitely seems like a standout title. Though I’ve mostly been thinking about getting a S2 for Kirby Air Riders.

That sounds fair, that’s part of why I mostly buy older games, too.
But I do hear a lot of good things about more recent titles despite having a lot of those things you mentioned.

I don’t like that Sega did that, but the 360 versions were all made backwards compatible with XB1/S, & you could get them for less than Origins’ $40 so I feel like they felt like they had to do that so Origins would sell well, especially since CD on 360 is the remaster that’s also in Origins.

I can’t really say I follow what you might mean about “new slop”.
I do know that companies delist certain older revisions of games when their remasters come out, such as with Sega delisting some of their older ports of the Genesis Sonic titles when Origins was new. (1/?)

Scholastic has partnered with Sega before, so maybe 1 tipped off the other to help them take the ROMs down?

I've never touched Roblox, only thing I really know about it is the funny Oof sound.
Doesn't really seem like it'd be my thing even if it wasn't a mess.

They seem to be more accepting of fan projects, but there's only so much goodwill they can extend before it starts cutting into their profits & they need to put their foot down or reel it back a bit.

I heard some people say there were trying to manipulate YT's search results so help bump up some games that were coming out of the time, heard others say it was because some of Sega's employees misinterpreted a fan support campaign as trolls harassing them.
After a while it just sort of stopped.

Ah yeah, that has happened. It's partially why I don't really have a YT channel.
That said, Sega has taken down YT videos themselves before, such as this one time back in the mid 2010s when they went after Shining Force videos for a while.

I personally don't think it's imposters, since I'd imagine IA would be better at tracking that sort of thing than say, YouTube, which is infested with them.
There was 1 example where someone was impersonating Sega/Dreams Come True to try & hold videos hostage, if I remember correctly years ago.

But yeah, Atlus in particular has done a few remasters of older SMT titles with more likely planned later (3 & 5, for example), & many of their older titles are still on PSN.
