There’s no leadership at the agencies. And the civil servants, especially the ethics attorneys and inspectors general, were fired, furloughed, or if they weren’t sent away, they are working without pay. Leadership has to support controversial investigations or they don’t happen.

You’re not wrong—but there’s a paper trail. Moving $$ between treasury accts (interagency transfer) is how agencies pay each other—eg NASA pays EPA to manage a cleanup. Moving $$ within an agency is less transparent—eg how DHS prioritized spending among its sub agencies to be as cruel as possible.

Indiana is a huge source of illegal firearms in Chicago. Yet Republicans love blaming Chicago for firearm crimes when they are consistently traced to out of state purchases.

Other states having essentially non existent firearms laws directly impacts other states.
