They printed the Precinct poll book instead of the general, so a judge extended voting until 10. I also want to know what the results are, but that's why they are late

And the only thing unusual about Rodney Ling was that he happened to be stopped in front of a house with a person with a camcorder out. Unusual at the time.

This was my childhood. My sister kept putting baseball on when I wanted to watch Star Trek. It was maddening.

We know from private conversations many of them don't really support him, but are terrified of being primaried from the right. A massive swing in the odd-year elections may make them less concerned about that and more that they lost in Nov 26. 1 branch standing up to him would be a tremendous help

The issue with Mills isn't her positions, it's that she's already at an age where she should be retiring from politics, not running for senate.

I'm sure it's a complete coincidence that the most famous one in Europe is only a couple letters off from his name.

My guess is @jordanwood.bsky.social is going to get a lot of former Platner supporters. Former chief-of-staff for Katie Porter, former VP of End Citizens United, young enough to be really unlikely to die in the next 6 years. So he has qualifications, and age.

I care about age when there’s a risk of another Feinstein. Or the 3 Dems in the house that died this year.
I’m not saying support Platner. I’m saying there has got to be someone qualified who isn’t statistically likely to die in office.

I’m very pragmatic. And know that 3 Dems died in office this year because so many of our politicians are old. We have time until the primary and don’t have to immediately jump to Mills the day we find out about Platner’s tattoo. Maine has plenty of politicians who don’t have Nazi tattoos or AARP.
