Fighting fire with fire doesn't actually work very well.
When you are fighting evil, you have to be careful not to become what you fight.
It is easy to convince yourself that the ends justify the means but one day you have to look in the mirror and ask: "Are we the bad guys?"

Being able to care about ethics and the environment is a kind of luxury. I can understand that it is hard to focus on such things when you are struggling to survive.
Many people ARE rich enough already though, we should be able to care.
