Not sure this is true but I’ll allow it… what I would NOT allow was the silly notion that Bigsby was better. That was among the worst fantasy community brainrot out there this offseason.

On a project the end users treated the project like it was the IT team’s project and not a collaborative effort… so of course we had a ton of misalignment and “slowly changing requirements” 😪

They told me to record hours in jira at task level… I decided not to do that for the entire year. They said we were getting hit on capitalization and told us project level was detailed enough. I filled in the whole year based on project. I get my work done and hit deadlines… that’s all I care about

It has its place… the reason people get tired of waterfall in organizations is bcus user-developer disconnect/misunderstanding and users also saying they want something and not thinking every step through and understanding what that means in terms of overall functionality.

I’m in a meeting and they’re asking me about a task that I told them would take a week to complete if I could focus on it, and I’m sitting there in a meeting not focusing on my task 🫠

Thee scrum scam is to make others feel comfortable that the engineers are actually working. Some people love those meetings. As an architect/developer 1 per week with a daily 15 minute standup is fine… but the rest of them just interrupt my productivity.

I understand why allowing athletes to profit from betting is bad (cus the very thing we’re talking about)… but I also understand why an athlete would view it as fair game as people who bet on them are making money off of them and they do not benefit. Not too many careers that happens in.
