I've done the same on 2 of my PCs this week. Transitioning to Firefox was surprisingly easy (even if my passwords didn't import properly on either).

I mean, it's just not true regardless. I was a PC gamer but loved playing Goldeneye on my friend's N64. The split-screen PVP made it a real experience. Personally, I do prefer Half-Life (which came out a year later), but that doesn't mean Goldeneye wasn't good!

It's programmed me to spam quicksaves in a way that annoys me when I realise I'm doing it.

I still remember dying in Exile 3 in a dungeon by having my entire party crushed into jam by a moving wall and then realising I hadn't saved for about 3-hours. I stopped playing for a few years.

Autosaves are definitely a huge QoL boost, even if some modern games hold your hand a bit too much IMO.

I'm stuck between buying an off-the-shelf one or doing hours of research to build my own. As such, nothing is getting bought.

I love Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings series. Some great characters. I was a little disapointed that I didn't have all my questions answered by the end, but a really fantastic series overall. I particularly love how Fitz and Beloved's relationship develops slowly over several books.
