Hand-shaped. Distinctive.
Had a '95 850 which had the door frame expiration date, I think 10 years. Don't know if they ever rescinded it for that year/model.

My '95 Volvo 850 had them. All '96 model-year Volvos had them standard. (I *think* they were the first to have them standard).

Cleaning staff better be ridiculously well-compensated before tips.

In Taos, for straight-up, no-frills fantastic New Mexican food, go to Ricky's. I often long for that place after 10 years of Thanksgiving week in Taos. And you can't go wrong with a drink and a bowl of green chile at the Taos Inn.

I saw a Model Y with SUSK MUCKS this week and think it might be the lamest bumper sticker I've ever seen.

Furthering Wade's case: The 2026 MLB minimum salary is $780k. The Padres declined their $1M option in favor of a $50k buyout, so they prefer the overall $170k savings.

Just made this. Slightly overcooked the eggs. No matter—so good.

The Sand Dunes were our 2018 day-after-Thanksgiving day trip. Lived up to the hype.

Stepping back... For my tastes as someone who enjoys the mindset I enter on a long drive, it's worth the small amount of extra time (20-ish minutes) to take 285 down to Santa Fe instead of I-25. Nicer driving and much better scenery.

Someday we'll pull it off.

Which was just after I just missed you at Avery after your mom died. For many years pre-Covid, we did Taos, but now my friend's mom is in Sante Fe, so we stayed at the Hilton on the Plaza because of its location in town and close proximity to my friend's elderly mom.

We did not cook. Too many people too old for that effort. I'm just a little older than you, and I was the second youngest in our group. Thanksgiving for us was at the swanky Hotel Tamaya outside ABQ. It was an unmemorable buffet.

The Matador stays open late—I was in there maybe 10–11PM, left with it still active—but the town didn't seem that hopping into the night. I certainly could have missed things going on. Can't go wrong eating at Tia Sophia's, credited as the first menu listing a breakfast burrito.

Did that holiday week there last year. Dive bar? You want The Matador.

Option 1 (and/or 4), and in the interim ponder which of Options 2 and 3 is the best path if Option 1 doesn't come through.

Nominee for the replacement-level reliever: Carson Fulmer. 9 seasons across 10 years, 8 with time between Majors and Minors, 255IP, 0.2bWAR, -0.4fWAR, and loves to catch the ceremonial first pitch. www.nytimes.com/athletic/656...
Pitching is Carson Fulmer's job. Catching ceremonial first pitches? That's his calling
