Nothing for the Tories but oblivion or a merge with Reform with this kind of brain-dead nativism

Robbie Gibbs' man. Bereft of even basic journalistic ethics
July 3, 2025 at 3:57 PM
100% this - the Tories genuinely provided a sense of 'permacrisis' they could feed off of. Without that they've just decided to make it up every day. Politics as a soap opera and it's damaging the whole system

Think the link is broken here

I mean it's easy to single out Johnson or Truss as obvious exceptions but surely this man has heard of Eden - lasted 18 months with Suez in the middle of that.

Terrible back injury?

Only one thing to do - the return of Johnson - else it's a steady flow of defections leaving a shell of a party behind

Stares in UK

Read this with increasing frustration. Then saw it's written by Luke Tryl - he of More In Common so hardly surprising. Also Dudley and Merthyr were iirc strongly Leave voting areas so some basis for Reform support already there for a long time

Indeed. Predicting something along the lines of Starmer's foreign exploits mask deep problems at home / Reform surge etc. Same old

The Tories really are gone aren't they. Can see them realistically dropping below 20% at this rate
February 25, 2025 at 7:33 AM
He did and I reckon that was as much about Reform as about the AfD
February 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM
It was astonishing and appalling in equal measure. Guess he thought he was being edgy but shows how utterly dumbed down the Today programme has become

Out of his depth

Think it needs a massive shake up. Keep the public service parts and radio free to air, ring-fence the now completely broken BBC news from any political influence and put the premium content as a subscription service maybe
February 14, 2025 at 12:26 PM
A difficult decision but the right one I think. Did the Tories actually do anything in power or just leave it all for Labour
