I don't mean this from a chud perspective, but like why am I debating if I listen to the white lower middle class twink or the tall insanely rich from-China Chinese guy over niche queer issues that just do not materially matter? (it had something to do with like leather convention vendors idk)

How much time was wasted qualifying statements to account for niche or micro-identities? If you were in college or extremely online at peak Woke 1.0, how often did you play oppression olympics to figure out who gets the definitive opinion on a matter?

Too weak on material issues and too fervent on things that just aren't important or needlessly time consuming. How many universities started doing land acknowledgements instead of offering the members of those tribes free rides?

Ace Combat 0 is absolutely another example. Mercilessly bombing optional targets, shooting down disabled jets limping back to base, and just generally hounding your enemies puts you on the Mercenary path where you get more money for more planes and harder boss fights against more elite squadrons.

I was very disappointed with just how okay-at-best planescape was when I went and played it after Disco Elysium and Noah Gervais' thoughtful and glowing review of it
