Out of curiosity, does the G-team have someone whose entire role is Project Management, like not trying to balance it with art/production?

In DayJob I’ve learned to revere a good PM - they are genuinely the reason anything happens. Having someone whose job is “get on my ass” can be invaluable.

The nature of modern content creation is “OUTPUT RIGHT NOW OR DIE” which isn’t kind to basically all art, and frankly anything that isn’t slop. It’s very deeply ingrained in I think everyone’s psyche nowadays - hard as hell to push against.

I find setting certain internal hard deadlines for myself can be helpful, but it has to be for small, doable things to actually get it done. That said, I’m working solo so I only have me to be accountable to (which, pros and cons), so I’m sure it gets much more complicated when it’s a bigger team.

I’ve learned that I have to force myself to be chill about it, and that rushing things for the sake of “having something to show” only results in, well, rushed work.

Also fun fact: Phil Tippett legendary animator took 30 years to make his personal masterpiece, so like, it’s chill.
