Honestly, this reminds me of bandcamp and those limited edition cassettes. Seems like a really fun idea and I may try to convince my other game dev buddies to look into an idea like this! :3 Would love to see this become a thing.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it: the future of physicals is not on consoles, and it's not with AAA companies either. It will be a niche market of course, but indies could make it happen.
