It's great! Lots of stuff to use for all kinds of settings and genres. I wish there was a chapter on design though, not just how to adjust existing creatures. BRP is really missing creature/lifeform creation rules.

It also depends on if the names are trademarked. If they are, you may need permission to even mention the names in some jurisdictions.

A disclaimer that none of the works you mentioned are your property might help, though.

Btw, not saying the situation shouldn't improve: It absolutely has to! But feeling bad when playing a game people have worked so hard for is not helping :)

I can only say that despite all the crunch and idiotic and unnecessary corporate leadership decisions, the best thing about making games (of any kind) is knowing that people enjoy them. Please don't NOT have fun. Otherwise it was all for nothing :)

At the very least it seems a surprising amount of great shows turn out to be apple TV.
