We’ve been discussing anarchy in the Wake, from politics to linguistics. Tolkien found Joyce’s treatment of language anarchistic and even satanic. But how far did JJ’s interest in anarchy go? Probably as far as his interest in anything and everything...

Reading the new Finnegans Wake excerpt with a cropatkin, after Nestor's tachanka, I'm even more inclined to believe that Joyce was anarchistically curious. Can't help but wonder–could he have crossed paths with Makhno in Paris? Anachronistically, not impossible.

Joined this Ukrainian Finnegans Wake reading group a year ago. What's better time to decode Joyce's language labyrinths than when everything else in this crumbling world is as plainsee and graspacious as the aftersight of agonizing empires in a fogged looking glass? 😅
We have been reading Finnegans Wake for a year and a month, mindmapping our hats going in. We have been dreaming and waking, spears-and-trotters-shaking, bibling, babbling, babeling, rivverrunning and, obviously, lots-of-funning. From now on, also blueskying.
