- where the urge to look for meaning is part of whats destabilizing for the audience, but Hellen in particular is so fun to dig into there. Did Hellen know that the plant would look like Sam? Is this a proxy for her killing urge, a way of slaking the needs of her competing natures?

And then she takes him to a secret locked room of her house, to talk about what she likes about him and what she likes about gardening. At the end of several days of care, the plant takes a form that looks like Sam and they harvest and eat it together.
