Four cracking beers this weekend. Siren's Even More Jesus was the liquorice-coma highlight, with BA saison, Invincible Smile, offering something a little different.
Big shout out to low abv Mover and Shaker though, a creamy rival to Broken Dream, and Vault City's perfect summer sour, Screwball.

Four cracking beers this weekend. Siren's Even More Jesus was the liquorice-coma highlight, with BA saison, Invincible Smile, offering something a little different.

Some quality from @sirencraftbrew.bsky.social recently. The Origin Stories original and nitro aren't too dissimilar in mouthfeel and taste, and although all three are great, the hazelnut and vanilla stands out. Meanwhile, Cherry In Your Tree (9%) is a delight, but dangerously drinkable.

Siren | Marshmallow Mountain | Chocolate and Marshmallow Porter | 4.1%
I prefer the heavier, darker stouts, and this won't change my mind. Not a fan of marshmallows in my beer either. Didn't really stand a chance. Leftovers from my advent. Average at best.

Just a few beers I've enjoyed recently. All excellent. Impys from Sinnister Brew, Pohjala (including an epic collab with Moersleutel). The BA barleywine, The Light Gatherer, from @sirencraftbrew.bsky.social was the pick of the bunch, just.

Two from last night: Vault City's Mini Mars is a lower abv stout and it shows. Better second time round but wouldn't buy again. Meanwhile, Cloudwater's MCI: Black Forest Gateau is packed with cherry and was the clear standout. They've done it again.
