To a point, I agree. It could also be argued that the BBC has kowtowed to the left. The BBC should listen to criticism and consider it, but not be swayed by the loud voices of activism, which invariably harbour a rancorous agenda.

Exactly. You don’t have to take a belt to a kid to guide them in the right direction. Parenting comes with setting an example, and if you don’t guide them, next thing, it’ll be “Burning houses…? It’s what kids do.”

Can you imagine the stream of warnings that would have to precede this on British television today…? Those flashing lights, for one…
