~Alpenglow on Kezar Lake~ Lovell, Maine As the sun began to rise it cast a pink glow over the mountains and sky. A lone ice fishing shack sitting proudly on the lake. It was a very chilly morning with the wind whipping through! I love the beauty that winter creates with the contrast of snow and soft colors.

I am still working through images from the amazing Northern Lights display back in October. I was leading a workshop in Acadia National Park. It was quite a treat for students to experience this incredible evening!

One of my favorite subjects to photograph are trees. On this fall morning the golden light created such an inviting pathway through the birches. Who else is a birch fan here?
