Linocut printmaker also dabbing in watercolours and oils. Plant and cat lover.
That’s how my corridor at home looks like now after three printing sessions. I’m getting ready for Sunny Bank Mills Print festival in Leeds next Saturday :)

@strangemeadowsart.bsky.social is doing a 365 days of tiny prints challenge and they look great. Makes me want to do a 100 days of the same. Maybe starting from March?

Reminded me of when my cats opened the bathroom cabinet and shredded and chewed all the toilet paper there :)
Thanks for showing me the love Bskyers! Some toilet art is on its way to you! 💙💙💙

Last year I made my first positives by hand for this print, Upturned Boats, by cutting paper, painting it black and glueing it onto transparent sheets of polyester. I also drew in pencil and pen and made black brush strokes with an old brush.

Well, here is my first plant terrarium linocut print and my first experiment printing with Hawthorn inks and their drier. I was surprised to find out that two drops of drier really do make such a massive difference.

Oh the joy of working on the dining room table! It was either this or dragging my press in the rain to my absolutely freezing studio. Despite the mess I think I made a good choice.

My latest linocut print will be inked up and printed for the first time tomorrow. I’m thinking of a green colour and excited to try Hawthorn inks with their drier (without the drier it took another print almost 3 weeks to dry in my studio). So big day tomorrow.
