In case anyone was waiting and stopped paying attention, you can get current-gen GPUs at MSRP now (except the 9070 xt and the 5090, which I didn't see at MSRP anywhere).

Seems like 64GB of RAM was the right choice. I am frequently exceeding 32. I'm rarely going over 48, but I think going forward it will get more frequent. I think for most people getting 32 now and then expanding in the future will be fine, but for me having 64 now is better.

Probably just gonna post here going forward. Might try porting stuff over from Facebook. Facebook has just become a barrage of ads for me, and they don't have anyone checking the ads so I'm afraid to click on anything that's been shared there. I go there out of habit, but close it shortly after.

Sometimes I'll be like "My heart's beating too fast" and then I'll count the beats to a 1-minute timer, and I'll find that my heartbeat rate is normal, my brain is just running slow.

I was thinking about getting a SteamDeck or some other handheld PC, but when I thought it about, I'd rarely use it, so I got one of those gamepads you can slot your phone into instead. Plenty of games I can play on that.

Got a new computer. Moving the GPU from the current computer over, though. Will get a new GPU later when closer-to-MSRP ones are available. Current computer's getting connected to the TV downstairs so I can do some couch gaming.

I'm bad with names. Also acronyms. Not just names of people, either. I play Hearthstone, but I only know the names of like 5 cards. Any RPG I play, I don't know the names of most abilities I use. I know what they do, where the button is for them, and such, but I don't know the name.

When talking to MAGA people, don't make assertions. Ask questions, and put what you want to state in the question. But don't ask them like you're expecting the person to answer. Ask them like you're just wondering, and thinking out loud. "Why are gas prices up? Trump won. Shouldn't they be down?"

If someone needs to snail mail you important documents, get a tracking number. This helps to both ensure they actually send it, and to help ensure the mailman doesn't put it in your neighbor's mailbox. If they can't give it right away, ask when they can, then follow up when you don't get it.

Unsweetened oat milk is better than cow milk. It tastes about the same as 2%, it doesn't spoil nearly as fast, and it's the greenest of milk options that you can buy at the grocery store. The sweetened stuff has way too much sugar, though. Tastes bad. Good if you want it for coffee, though.
