Architects Jeremy Dixon & Edward Jones returned to Darwin yesterday to visit the Study Centre and Frank Young House which they created in 1994.

They toured the buildings with our Architecture students, as well as the Master, Bursar, Dean and Emeritus Fellows.

Enormous congratulations to Darwin alumnus Professor John Clarke, who has been jointly awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics.

John joined Darwin in 1965, as one of our first PhD students. He became an Honorary Fellow in 2023.

A school founded by two Darwin alumni has been awarded the World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action, by T4 Education.

The Arbor School was opened in Dubai in 2018 by Sa’ad Al Omari (PhD, Zoology, 2004) and Pirin Erdoğdu (PhD, Astronomy, 2004).

A human skull discovered in China has upended assumptions about the date at which homo sapiens began to emerge.

However Darwin Fellow and evolutionary geneticist @aylwyn-scally.bsky.social told the BBC that, while plausible, the conclusions were far from certain.

A team led by Darwin Fellow Professor Flora Samuel, Head of the Department of Architecture, has been awarded a grant of £3.12 million to chart green transition on Anglesey. The grant will allow the team to build on their work to create a Public Map Platform.
