Like many others, I think they need an expanded PL. Whether it's a return to the old format or something new, there's too much quality. I see why Aspinall and Price were picked but others were more deserving.

Smith and Wright actually won more prize money than Price and Aspinall last season.
Personally I hope Smith bounces back. One of the best players to watch.

The PL lineup shows just how big an influence the World Championship has. All four of those selected benefitted from the early loss of many seeds.

Was the favourite and stepped it up every time he needed to. Pushed hard by a few players but showed his class throughout. A deserved winner and a credit to darts.

Dobey instead of De Decker, I think. Despite his Grand Prix win, I think his lack of profile and ranking will go against him.
It seems pretty obvious what version of Littler will turn up tonight. I'd be shocked if he didn't comfortably hit a 100+ average.
MvG's form has been a little bit patchy but sense he'll bring his best tonight. It could be another Rydz game where MvG has inferior stats, but somehow finds a way.

Bunting was good tonight. Will be in the PL. Many reasons to hold his head high. If he keeps playing like this, he'll be consistently challenging for majors every tournament.

Young players are meant to be naive, not know how to handle pressure, be inconsistent, be overawed.
Littler's mental ability is more impressive than his darting ability.

That last game was just a joy, really. An unfancied player having a great game and showing his immense quality. A 17-year-old showing incredible mental strength. Darts remains the best sport in the world.
