Admittedly, I didn't use my PS5 much this year. Not much at all.
It is, ultimately, an exclusives machine. And there weren't many exclusives. Also missing are the many hours of Fall Guys parties I joined to chill with friends.

Here's my PlayStation Wrap-up 2025 edition.

ICYMI on the latest Day Zero episode we discussed the state of all PlayStation Studios projects, and there are a bunch that, on paper, are more interesting than GTA 6 for 2026.

Following this, I'd like to see Sucker Punch do something different. While I like the focus on iteration, I don't want to wait another 5 years for a Ghost game. Let this franchise rest here at its peak. Whatever they make, I'll be seated.🥷

There are plenty of excuses to get into skirmishes & get handsomely rewarded for them. Loved hunting bounties. Each of the Yōtei Six has something to teach Atsu, both in combat and outside of it. Increased enemy variety and expanded toolset = chaos ⚔️

This may be an under-discussed aspect, but Ghost of Yōtei is one of, if not the most polished, open-world games I’ve ever played. Dividing the map into various zones, each showcasing different biomes, was smart. Strong art direction + sweeping vistas = zen ✨

I've spent almost 50 hours with Ghost of Yōtei and was thoroughly impressed. The sequel is a refinement of the modern, if bloated, open-world video game, balancing narrative heft with sharp improvements in combat and exploration, all delivered with exceptional polish. 🎮💖

I've been playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC for a while, and I present to you the funniest moment I encountered. The moment I knew keyboard+mouse players are rekt xD

Day one (if it makes here day one).
(and if it launched with OLED option).

I watched the Concord episode in Secret Level and I really liked it! This universe had potential, shame it started with the game it did. Loved this OG Freegunner crew's story.

Been hooked to Daniel Pemberton's killer music score for it since. That man cooked.

Tried Xbox Cloud Gaming and was pleasantly surprised. Indiana Jones launched quickly with my Steam save.
Starfield took a moment but loaded my year-old save.
Overall, it was a pretty decent experience with no installs needed.
A shame xCloud hasn't officially launched in India yet 🥲

Intel Arc B series has been revealed, with the B580 providing some tough competition to the RTX 4060/RX 7600.
1440p, 12GB VRAM, Improved XeSS + Frame gen, all for $250.
If Intel's claims hold up, this could become the go-to GPU for mid-range/budget gamers, just like the GTX 1060 was.

Finished Superman & Lois. What a beautiful ending, perfectly paired with its equally elegant pilot opening. And it couldn't have come at a better time in pop culture.
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch deserve so much more praise! It all went by so fast 🥲🥲🥲

It's not as fancy as the 30th anniversary controller but the Chroma Indigo DualSense is pretty cool. Looks more blue than purple irl.
Thank you Sony for sending it!

You thought having two toggles between fidelity and performance mode was pushing it? Try five.
At that point, why not just go for a PC? If I really cared about wavering frame rates with a million different options...

Now playing: LEGO Horizon Adventures. Review in two weeks.

Time to find out this dragon's age or something.

So glad #DragonAgeTheVeilguard is Steam Deck verified.

Yeah, the Horizon games are still the best-looking titles this generation. The amount of detail in the environment is insane.
Captured on PS5.

Happy to report that Red Dead Redemption runs at a smooth 60fps on Steam Deck on High settings and FSR at native resolution. Oh and the HDR looks wonderful!
It only took 14 years but we have a great portable version of RDR!
