He figured even without the dark ensemble, the same weight Leia carried was evident on the slope of his shoulders. Grief tended to cling to a person for a long time. "The Chancellor has asked for a bodyguard for his granddaughter." And now he knew the reason why he had been called here. "You can't be serious," he told her with a scoff. Leia shushed him with a hand to her lips and looked around the office with concerned eyes. He would have said she was paranoid a few months back, but not anymore. Now he knew better. She led him to her balcony and pressed the button to close the door behind them.

Rey slid into the seat and they took off. Enzo's grip around the steering wheel was tight and strong. He knew he shouldn't let these petty feelings of jealousy get the better of him, but he couldn't help himself. Seeing other men-younger men—flirting with Rey set him on edge. If they knew she was dating Enzo would they question why? Would they wonder what she was doing with him when she could have a much younger and better looking man who could walk through life at the same pace as her? Someone to experience the same things as her—life's firsts—at same time? It was his own insecurities speaking, he knew that and yet he couldn't find a way to quieten the uncertainties that played in his mind even though Rey had told him she wanted to be with him. Even though she had told him she liked him because of age and his experience... "You missed the exit to my place," she pointed out as they drove past her street.
