Yes, the course does cost $ (more info at link). Certainly less than grad school / pub programs, but its why I'm being transparent about what it is / is not.

I remain committed to offering opportunities to learn & build editorial careers beyond $ classes. This is one avenue!

What it is/ is not

This course does not promise to get you a job in publishing (no course can, nor should promise that)

But it will you *how* to be an editor, and create an environment for you to practice, not just be lectured at. The classes are live (we get to hang out) and its entirely remote.

This course is best suited for folks 1) just starting their editorial careers 2) folks looking to move into publishing/editorial.

It is grounded in the journey of making a book, the author-editor relationship, and the editorial responsibilities and work required at each stage.

Working as an editor - and a licensing one at that - you hear the word "NO" a lot (for both good reasons and bad). And you learn to roll with it, that's part of doing (and being good at) the job.

Every YES is a joy, but some - if we're being honest - are extra special

Me. Definitely in the "can't imagine what I care about that deeply" boat, but also I have a pretty intense fear of needles.

Couldn't even bear to stay in the tattoo parlor when my better half would get tattoos. I'd have to go for a walk.

Is that really a real photo?

You can contact your bookseller for a replacement if you received a damaged copy.

Thanks for the kind words
