The danger to our country is staggering. Before the last week, I naively thought that it would take a while to rebuild after Trump. I'm trying to wrap my head around the probability that there won't be any rebuilding. The America that I grew up with is gone, sold to the highest bidders.

I started with Freewheelin’ followed by The Basement Tapes. I probably wouldn’t recommend The Basement Tapes for a beginner, but I managed to become a huge fan of both Dylan and The Band, so I guess it worked?

As an avid reader of US history, my take is that it’s always been this way. Our current news/information ecosystem is the only difference. US politics has always been a struggle for raw power covered with a thin veneer of morality. Exceptionalism is a myth.
