When I last checked in on the situation (sustainability course about 1.5 years ago), we were firmly in the "It's gonna happen, but it won't be as bad as it could be" range. Our global actions have been enough to avoid the worst outcomes, but it's too late to avoid negative effects totally.

I understand. I'm saying you are being inconsistent. You recognize that not everything in the "trans ideology" is explicitly transgender yet anytime someone mentions something that isn't trans you immediately compare it to the definition of transgender.
June 18, 2025 at 11:28 PM
But if non-binary isn't trans how is it in the trans ideology???? You are contradicting your own words. Either non-binary isn't trans and therefore isn't in the trans ideology or the trans ideology consists of much more than trans and your generalizations don't hold any weight.
June 18, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Right here. When you were saying the "trans arguement" is someone who feels non-binary in the evening. Look. You are free to call the "trans ideology" or whatever unreasonable or crazy. That's your right. But trying to deconstruct it while knowing nothing about it makes you look like an idiot
June 18, 2025 at 11:09 PM
You realize that every state that didn't stay sane constitute millions of people. And Texas isn't reasonable. No exception for rape or incest? No clarification on when life of the mother becomes applicable leaving people who know their conditions will be life threatening to wait until they are?
June 18, 2025 at 11:04 PM
But you were talking about someone who identified as non-binary? How can someone who you explicitly state as trans identify as non-binary if non-binary isn't trans?
June 18, 2025 at 10:50 PM
I simply don't trust it. I've already seen some states try to ban gender-affirming care upwards of age 24. Well, beyond children. I can entertain some restrictions, but the standing point is the lawmakers doing this are proven to not stop at reasonable. They didn't stop at reasonable for abortion.
June 18, 2025 at 10:49 PM
I'm not being dishonest. That genuinly doesn't make sense. You are treating an entire grouping of identities as one singular thing. Under your own definition non-binary isn't trans because it isn't about becoming male or female. What you stated is only part of the topic, not all of it.
June 18, 2025 at 10:45 PM
Trans means that you identify as not what you were born as. Being genderfluid means that your identity changes over time. They have overlap but aren't the same thing. Like how a gay man is attracted to men and a straight man is attracted to women but a bisexual doesn't flip between gay and straight.
June 18, 2025 at 10:42 PM
Bert, what the fuck are you talking about. "Trans ideology" what the is that? Is it outside your comprehension that Trans isn't just one comprehensive pillar with a single definition or principle? Do you not understand that trans isn't the same as genderfluid or bigender or agender?
June 18, 2025 at 10:36 PM
A transwoman, someone who is born male but identifies as female, will never identify as male and will never stop being transgender. That's not how transgender works. People, like you, just lump everyone who isn't cis under one umbrella term cause it's convenient.
June 18, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Alright. Since you decided to ignore my message, like I said, let me rephrase. The person you are talking about: "male in the morning, female in the afternoon, and non-binary at night" is NOT transgender. They are genderfluid. Like how a bisexual is NOT gay but is still lumped together under "gay"
June 18, 2025 at 10:24 PM
I find it funny how you made a point, I refuted that point, and then you immediately doubled down on that same point. You said someone who identifies as trans stops being trans, I said they would still be trans, then you continued as if I had agreed with you. Terrible conversation skills.
June 18, 2025 at 10:16 PM
He is because transgender is treated as an umbrella term. Someone in your example wouldn't explicitly be transgender. They would be genderfluid. An explicit transgender would be someone assigned at birth as male but identifies as female. People just generalize trans the way they generalize gay.
June 18, 2025 at 10:00 PM
Yeah? Being trans means your identity doesn't align with what you were assigned at birth. Even if you transition, that still isn't what you were assigned at birth, so you are still trans.
June 18, 2025 at 9:50 PM
Because the person who is trans doesn't suddenly stop being transgender. They don't decide that evening, "You know what? I'm just what I was born as and nothing else ever again." That's not how it works. A bisexual dating the opposite sex doesn't make them suddenly straight.
June 18, 2025 at 9:35 PM
Your viewpoint stems from the misunderstanding that gender identity is some transient thing. That people choose to be trans like how people choose to speed. That isn't the case. People are trans the same way they are tall or they are black or they are gay. It's something they can't help.

Fuck the Dem politicians. I'll at least take pride in the fact that when I see a broken system, I am trying to do something about it instead of just waiting for the whole thing to collapse and death to take me.
April 10, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Do you really think that you aren’t taking a stance by saying how bad it is to vote blue? That you can get away with "never mentioning anything about who someone should vote for" while yapping about how voting blue is so bad? Sounds like circlejerking about a problem without trying to fix it.
April 10, 2025 at 6:40 PM
Alright then. Untrain me. Should I vote for independents who barely have enough seats to show up on a map and no centralized ideology? Maybe greens who have no national seats? Rally behind the Democratic Socialists who can't progress further up the ladder than city council? What are my other options
April 10, 2025 at 6:30 PM
If we can't trust someone's campaign at all, then what is your plan? You can't trust repubs because they all fall in line. You can't trust dems because they can lie and fall in line anyway. Do you trust independents? What makes them any less likely to lie?
April 10, 2025 at 5:14 PM
That's a blame, Biden thing. If you knew election laws, you would know that by the time Biden stepped down, it was already "too late," and the only way to salvage funds and the spot on ballots was to use the fact Kamala was technically on the ticket already. There was no room for a second primary.
April 10, 2025 at 5:11 PM
I don't disagree with your points, but the issue is you are treating this like a general election issue where it is clearly a primary election issue. The solution isn't to hand the country over to repubs. it's to vote in better dems.
