Seeing a lot of friends posting about ALA, and I feel a little jealous seeing how much fun they’re having. However, even without the fires being an issue I don’t think I would want to be driving to LA. Plus, I’m guessing they’re petting through the night, & I am enjoying having an 11pm bedtime.

Watching Ralph Balshi’s version of Lord of the Rings from 1978 is so fascinating. They combined the first 2 books into 1 film, & they decided to use rotoscope for a lot of the evil beings. Which is great because it makes them extra creepy.

Played #Pokemon Snap on the Switch today, and all I can think is how perfect of a game it would be for VR. How great it would be to be fully immersed into that world, gently being carried forward through the different regions, all the while wild Pokémon just popping up in front of you.

Went to Wendy’s today because chili on a chilly day is always great. Also, tried the salted caramel frosty & it was excellent! I know it sounds weird to have a cold treat on a rainy day, but it helps when you have your break room heated up specifically for that reason.

I remember when the Snail question originated on the Rooster Teeth Podcast. Million dollars, but there’s a snail always after you & if it touches you, you die. I forget if both you & the snail are immortal, but this premise assumes so.

I find it so interesting catching up on DanDaDan on @crunchyrollanime.bsky.social & finding spelling errors, or just missing letters at the end of words in the subtitles. Tbf it’s only been 1 episode so far, but at least 3 times in that episode.

Finished watching Borderlands, not a great film & I wouldn’t say bad. Mid is the way to describe it . Idk enough about the games, but it didn’t feel as crazy as it could have been or promised.
