Try to look at it from another angle - a lot of knowledge is actually software-agnostic and would be useful for all, if it's not basic stuff about software's functions.
Just avoid writing stuff like "press menu A and select option B for the next step," write instead what this step should _achieve._

My internet provider has been doing this for decades. "Wanna static IP? That'd be $3 per month, please!"

Using trims and decals to such an extent was always mysterious and cool to me. How does one even pre-plan all of this?
