can't believe there's a whole ass town named after a railroad with a railroad district, but said town can't bother to fund a transit project for their town (FRISCO, I'M LOOKING AT YOU)
To whoever owns this caboose off TX-66, I just want you to know that you're cool

I think if we cut the freeways in Dallas back to I-635, and replaced the right of way with additional transit lines and/or walking and biking paths, we could improve quality of life and health for Dallasites.

Not to mention that these streets have sidewalks that are so narrow (to allow space for cars) that you feel constricted and compressed. It's not a good feeling at all.
We no longer have streets worth lingering. They are not social places designed for spending time but saving time for drivers and they typically dont even do that well.

Furthermore, it is both a short-term and long-term hazard to your health.
Rather than pausing to linger, American pedestrians are racing through streets – and doing so alone.

A new study from Ed Glaeser, Carlo Ratti, et al. raises troubling questions about the decline of streetlife.

How could anyone not support the Silver Line? What, you want to deprive Dallas of more cool trains?
