Yeah, we need funds and a plan in place. This is bigger than just a local issue. Floods in the lower mainland have an affect on all of BC.

Your logic of dragging hard working families down doesn't make any sense.
We shouldn't take the salary of someone who chose a career with crap wages as the base and say no one should make more.
The problem is people and corporations that make a lot of money and don't pay their fair share.

Then you should know that earning 150k/year when you're supporting a family, paying a mortgage, putting food on the table, paying for sports, etc isn't a ton of money. Over half of that 150k is already decimated by tax and you think that person is making too much?

I think you need to go out and meet some people in jobs that are different from what you do.
Try telling a construction worker that's away from their family most of the year, building Canada, that they're making too much money.

A great way to help the youth employment numbers is to have good union construction jobs available. Unions do everything possible to help young people thrive in apprenticeships and build lifelong careers, not just jobs.

Let's commit to making all major building projects in BC Union only. That's a commitment to ensuring that we use local labour, putting people in underrepresented groups in good paying jobs, and reinvesting wages right here in BC. That's just what we do every day, and shouldn't be a special case.
