Great afternoon spent at RSPB St Aidan's despite all the ice. 52 species recorded including slavonian grebe, bearded tit, cetti's warbler, chiffchaff, water rail and this cracker of a kingfisher seen at close quarters #phonescoped @rspbengland.bsky.social

First visit to patch on way home from work resulted in Teal and Wigeon on flooded field in Wentbridge followed by 110+ Golden Plover on Wentfield lane, not a bad start to the year! #darringtonbirdobs
