Me while reading this issue

Watching Prey and Badlands back to back felt a little jarring. Going from this very tactile environment of the American plains to a large CGI enhanced world was a lot. Thankfully, it shows the versatility of this franchise. The Predator can be a lot of things in the hands of these creators.

Loved how we got to see a Predator ripped away of all it's toys in this hellish environment. Movies funny too! Has a Smart Ape type character that delivers a lot of laughs

Now, onto Badlands

Only issue with this issue and the series so far is peices keep being added to the board when I think it should be mostly set. The Maker is almost here and we're still on what feels like a shaky foundation. Also want more time with the players we know before everything goes Boom.

Psylocke does keep hinting at Hisako playing a bigger part in all of this. She has a hint of destiny.

I guess it's just wait and see. In most cases, I'd be more in your camp (the MC not playing a part in the big crossover is strange), but since like issue 10 Mei has to be my favorite over Hisako, her plot has a little more drive to it. But there's still six months to go, so that could change.

okay, I just finished issues 17. So she's not going down a darker path but maybe she's off the board by the times the Maker comes back? maybe she's still inside Tube Dude?

The thing I wonder is, has this been Mei's story all along? I haven't read the most recent issue of UXM, but it seems like Hisako might be going down a darker path. Maybe Mei is the secret protagonist?

Oh and the Flashbacks. There's a lot of flashbacks lol.
