When veterans receive benefits promised, self-serving corruption has been expunged, then we can talk about a parade on horseback and foot from the capitol to Arlington honoring veterans + war dead. We should be concerned about a lack of humility + wastefulness in pursuit of grandiosity

No better time than Mardi Gras week to watch Ken Burns “Jazz” doc for PBS.

Looks like Lent will begin a half-day early this year. So be it. May love, peace and kindness find you and all that is good be reflected in your thoughts and actions over the next 40 days and beyond. Especially you grumpy SOBs! May you smother on God’s grace and cough up rainbows! #improve

Watching ‘The Lion in Winter.’ So good. Sizzling dialogue. May replace ‘The Adventures of Robin Hood’ as my fave movie. At least I’m keeping it in the House of Plantagenet. Who else still digs this one from 1968 in 2025?

That whole “Only God can judge me” stance? Most who said that went to jail so they definitely got judged by the rest of us. Get some emotional intelligence, realize we share this planet, act accordingly. Respect yourself…na na na na na

What I like about Bluesky is the return to basic “let’s talk” aesthetic of early social media. Text is too efficient not to use effectively in recording our thoughts.

Am I conservative or liberal if I’m in favor of massive spending on public works? Am I naive to think we can spend our way to prosperity by picking up shovels? Eventually, won’t these projects more than pay for themselves in every way? I may not be down in the financial trenches on this one

Watching Ken Burns New York PBS doc and amazed at the scale of public works in Metropolis. Enjoying my last hi-potency Crescent 9 Canna water and cursing restrictions on freedoms.

Movie Therapy & Recovery tonight at home: Watching + thinking about ‘The Great Escape.’ Lots of seasonal 🎄angles to this one. I enjoy seeing UK 🇬🇧 forces organize with some USA 🇺🇸 energy to beat the biggest aholes on the planet…by digging. Slam bang entertainment, love it

Serious, pt.2…I never committed myself fully to twitter. The format seemed stifling. This account is not in the least a comment on Elon or his antics, protest or otherwise. When I heard Jack Dorsey was involved here I thought it might be good to stake out territory. And set a positive tone

Some of the seasoned members of our public might remember the old NBC weekend radio show, Monitor. The program featured hosts known now as early game show hosts. They were called Communicators. What a pleasant job title. Almost BBC-ish. A very nice station in life, i should think

Down to business: as my first serious post, I affirm adherence to and confess membership in Christendom, preceding any further damn fool statements of nonsense on my part. I remain affiliated with the Roman Church in spirit + practice. My language is formal, but my feeling heartfelt. Continues
