My wife gets lots of compliments on this (she has both t shirt and sweatshirt), and a lot of hostile reaction from old, white, mediocre men.

Having grown up in her district (in the 70s/80s) something like this isn’t likely to have impact. Industry is long gone from the area, and there isn’t much tourism there either. Even though it’s been decades since I lived there, I’m sad and embarrassed that she is their Representative in the House.

I was lucky enough to live in NYC when their first album came out, and to have heard them playing what I imagine was a party in the basement of my friend’s apartment building in Williamsburg (couldn’t stick around or would have crashed it). Saw them 3 times between 1989-1992. Amazing!

The Minutemen. They were the first band I’d ever heard that could deliver a complete story with amazing music in under one minute. RIP D. Boon. Jam econo!
