What a day…. Super visit to Chatham Historic Dockyard climbing in and out of submarines and the like with grandkids then off to see Jaws at the cinema with my son. Neither of us have seen it on the big screen and still totally epic in every way.

Hopefully not for a long time, but this is where I want to eventually be scattered. Mid-way between Wadebridge and Padstow. If for any reason I kick the bucket sooner I want a parkrun guard of honour and very loud rock music at my funeral. No words, just as many kickass songs as time allows 🎸🤘

I’d normally be at Eden Project #parkrun when in Cornwall. Today I ventured into Devon, then briefly into Cornwall then back into Devon and finally back to Cornwall.

Popped along to the Fowey Regatta for a bit of fun and won best Camper! Amazing to take part in the parade through the narrow twisty streets.. super sunny holiday vibes too 😎

Enjoying the early morning cycle to Padstow followed by coffee on the harbour side. Occurs to me I know literally nothing about sailing which is a great shame. Seems to me the knowledge and experience needed to not kill yourself might be quite high.

Auntie Lilly’s 95th birthday. Born in 1930 she helped look after my dad during the war with his childhood polio rather than getting evacuated with the other children. Fiercely independent world traveller and until social isolation of COVID triggered dementia. They don’t make ‘em like they used to!

Love escaping down to Cornwall whenever possible. Happy to just sit on a bench overlooking the harbour with a coffee.
