The ADHD really has been in GO GO GO mode today, I've been sorting the endless collection of random cards in random bundle boxes. These are all commons and uncommons. It's a very tiny part of the collection, but it's a good start!!

Super happy with how it's looking!! Gonna find the hand drill soon to add all the little magnetised bits (which I didn't think about until now, or I would have done it before painting) 😅

I saw wet blending in Adelaide once and now I'm obsessed with galaxies. I really love them 😅 it makes me so happy to paint them. They're so much fun!! I can't wait to get to the actual tank body!

10/10 safety angle grinding the alternator so it fits into the brackets. Gfs dad is holding it in the bracket.
Somehow all went well with no lost fingers.
ID: a brand new alternator sits in a vice on a very messy work bench. An angle grinder is being used against the side of the alternator.

Starting with pressing in those goddamn bushings. Which we hope will be the fix we need.

More mysteries unravel with this alternator replacement. The one we bought doesn't fit, due to some bushings on the bracket.
This is the old one. It's been shaven down. Which means the bracket itself is the actual problem. Not the alternator size!
Not sure who did it or why or when. But we know now

A lot has been happening on the little car lately, but we're finally at the big one. The hiace alternator didn't fit. We bought a new one. It's installation day.

We've gotta get a new boot for it, and I've joined an MR2 owners group to ask for advice and where to get parts.

We also cleaned and replaced the globes in the headlights, which made such a huge difference to the light output!!
Windscreen was meant to be tomorrow but will be next week instead as they couldn't get the glass in time.
Then we'll be onto the exhaust and figuring out the abs sensor.

MR2 update: so it turns out the alternator is actually probably fine, but it was the fuse that had corroded to hell.
After figuring out that the fuses were *bolted* in, we were finally able to remove the old ones and replace them with fresh new ones.
