YouTube premium is the second to last subscription I would cancel tbh. I consume SO MUCH YouTube and it’s all on my tv so no ad blocker.

Using a paper clip to hold a cd player open and spin the burnt disc while drawing patterns on it with markers. The scrubbing sound of the marker on the disc, the whirling as the player tried to catch back up to speed from the drag.

At my writing group this week, I wrote by hand for the first time in ages. The prose was more sparse due to the constraints of the medium and my own desire not to waste words, but those words cut straight to the action. It was literally better on paper.

Further cementing the whole “train as life” metaphor, the lines are impacted northbound and just had to get off and take a different train to keep heading toward my destination. 🤣
