I understand people that don't like the "pay more to play early" that single player games are doing. I don't mind it because it doesn't really take away from my experience. but if you lock content behind it that won't be available after day 1, that's fuckin scummy.

I remember when Assassin's Creed "fans" used to absolutely HATE Desmond and the modern parts of the original games. Now they act like they loved him and those missions so much. Same as the people that used to hate the Star Wars prequels. Hate what's new, pretend to love the old.

Playing through the Fen's Sheriff Department mod in #Fallout4 and I don't think the people that made it understand Fallout lore very well 🤣 one of the NPCs left the Brotherhood and went to the Outcasts because they were "anti fascist"... oh you sweet summer child.

We are in an era where gamers, new and old, don't form their own opinions of games anymore. They "borrow" opinions from Streamers, YouTubers, IGN, racist asswipes like Asmongold, and it's created such a toxic environment because as we've all learned the past however many years... hate gets clicks.

I miss the days when simply enjoying a game didn't mean you were "selling out". I absolutely hate what social media has done to the world. Hopefully Bluesky doesn't get to this point, but I won't hold my breath.
