It’s official: my play, Late Shift, is hitting the stage at 30 by Ninety Theatre next August! I hope you can come out to see it! Thanks to Jason J. Leader for making this dream a reality!

If you grew up in the ‘80s, and if you like STRANGER THINGS, Nintendo, VHS tapes, TimeSaver coffee, and a dash of psychological horror with a little love story sprinkled in, then you should do this. I put my entire heart in this book and I’d love for you to see it (figuratively speaking, of course).

My reflection on the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina was printed in the local paper today. My voice is small but hopefully it can provide comfort to someone who hears it.

My childhood home in New Orleans, a few months after Katrina flooded the neighborhood when the levees broke. The house has since been torn down, some of my best memories carted off with the moldy rubble.

This is about twenty years’ worth of work: rough drafts, outlines, sketches, rejection letters, handwritten notes, etc. All at the State Library of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.
I’m glad I kept all this stuff. It used to be a bunch of junk in a drawer. Now it’s called the “David Armand Papers.”
