Doctor passed away in my arms yesterday at home from what we suspect was a heart attack. He had a spleen removal due to a tumor the week prior and think it affected his heart. It's still fresh so the grief is intense and the stillness in the house is agony. We hope our souls find each other again.

More joyful news: after weeks of trying to figure out why Doctor was vomiting and not eating, vet visits and medication, a follow up visit for his distressing weight loss uncovered he had a mass on his spleen. Immediately went into surgery and now he's recovering. I love my sweet boy.

Maybe AI used for good? Running Doctor's recent labs tests to help decipher some of the results and follow up questions for the vet. (He's been vomiting the last week on and off and I'm a bit concerned.)

The boys are off on a Bay Area road trip and I miss them so much. Proof of life was one of Doctor pooping and a winery visit dedicated to the McNab dog.
