I declare the God Ginrai portion of my collection complete. If there is ever another version, I do not want or need it. I am adamant on that, and can now focus on my main collection; every version of Soundwave that ever existed.

I'll take some photos of that when I've tidied up my storage room...

But as anybody can tell you, the problem with collecting, even if you set yourself restrictions, is that you're never really done. Ever.

So now I can finally put them together into God Ginrai, completing that portion of my collection at last.

Godbomber was a Japanese figure, and it was only released here briefly as part of a Toys R Us exclusive. So it was difficult to find in decent shape, as it's a 35 year old Japanese toy that pulls into lots of little pieces. It took several years to find a good combination of quality and price.

After sitting on that one for a while, I decided that the current American version of it was nice, but the package of the Japanese Super Ginrai and Godbomber was more pleasing. Of course, adding something above and beyond the original figure just sets up problems.

One of my vices is collecting. My largest collection started when I got a box of many (but not all) of the Transformers I had when I was a kid. I decided that my collection would take the direction of getting the modern versions of those. One of the biggest I still had was Powermaster Optimus Prime.

I saw things that spoke to me, Back In the Day.

I can't pick just one, so if I get drawn, hopefully one of these in particular will grab your interest!

As for things to suggest, I would like to offer Akana as tribute. For costume stuff... archetypal treasure-hunting archaeologist. She has found a glowing idol, and much to her surprise, her belly is now bursting out of her shirt.
