Pretty much what you have, but in the form of, “You can’t edit what isn’t there!”

One of my favorite feelings in the world is when I’m stuck on something and I haven’t been able to get my brain focused on it. Then, one day, I hop in the shower, and suddenly the brain starts braining and the words start flowing. And that’s when I know that everything is gonna be alright again.

Sometimes the only thing keeping me going is sheer spite and that’s perfectly okay.

Honestly, it varies based on what I’m writing. Sometimes everything aligns and I get multiple chapters/chunks done in one sitting, but other times, it takes a lot of writing and rewriting and contemplation and then it’s been a month and I haven’t added anything new.

The moment I decided I’d finagle around and try to write something, the three-year-old woke up. 🤦‍♀️
