So regarding string theory Im still not convinced either for or against that it will provide the solution to quantum gravity but how could we solve QG without string theory?

I have a sense that the transition of magnetic dipole spins between domain walls in magnets is related to why the fields can round corners in a magnetic circuit. Its like a combination of exchange forces, the spins want to align with the external field, and the fields generated by the spins themself
