Two patients are in the process of being transported to hospital with unknown injuries. Reports from the scene state that the driver was unconscious and extricated by fire. ^BW

At this time, two patients have been taken out of the hotel by Niagara EMS and transported to hospital. The cause remains unknown.

A patient is currently under the care of Niagara EMS and is being transported to a hospital outside of town. The severity of the injuries has not been disclosed. Firefighters and police officers will remain on scene for cleanup operations.

Units arriving on scene did confirm that there is a vehicle on fire, however, no one was trapped in their vehicles. Agent has been applied, and they are working on assessing patient care. From what we hear, it sounds like a possible broken arm and leg.

The St. Catharines Fire Department responded to reports of smoke coming from the back of a residence. Upon investigation, they discovered it was merely a food smoker in use. No additional measures were needed, and the firefighters have since left the scene. ^BW

Niagara Regional Police were overheard by our photographer on scene that this is a very serious situation, and that the neighbour will be allowed through the road closure, but is to go directly inside and don’t come out.
