The take Zionist folks aren't ready to hear: Israel didn't make Jews safer. It guaranteed a dispute with the Palestinians because it involved stealing their land and displacing them. This dispute will never end until a positive peace and justice is made. Until then Israel's regional warmongering has made them enemies to every single other state in the region, has alienated them from more and more Western countries and virtually the entirety of the Global South.

Courtesy of Israel, I now know what a baby looks like without a head, what a child looks like with their brain spilling from a shattered skull, what a child looks like with its organs and intestines outside their tiny bodies, what a child looks like picking up pieces of their parents and putting them into plastic bags, what a child looks like begging the surgeon to save their dangling limbs that are about to be amputated without anesthesia, what a hungry child looks like emaciated and begging for food that is not coming. If my words disturb and unsettle you more than the reality of horrors they recount, then that is the measure of your privilege. The shelter of distance and the choice to turn away. Palestinian Muslim lives matter. The lives of Christian Palestinians are no more or less valuable than the lives of Muslim Palestinians. This shouldn't need to be said. But the west treats Christian lives differently. Israel says it doesn't target places of worship - yet it has destroyed more than 800 mosques in Gaza. Christians: you only love Christ as much as you love "the least of these" Muslims.
