Looking good this year. The cat is good at photo bombing. LOL

Just got my deck done in time before the rains started. Days of it so I have have stuff to put in the flowerbeds that I can't touch yet. The cat, who wanted to go out, was not impressed and got his feet wet. Did a U-turn and came straight back in.

Really looking forward to my rose garden blooming this summer. I would like to add one deep yellow and one dark red to my mix. I guess I must look early.

Oh look, we can haz more snow today. This is just the accumulation for today as it had all melted off my table yesterday. Yes, that is a table under there somewhere.

My very bad cat caught with his head in my Boston fern, eating clumps. He is well aware this is not allowed so this is behind my back.

Here is what happens when there is too much moisture in the air. All the trees get white leaves. As we are in the foothills for the Rockies and at a high elevation we normally get light powder snow.

Resident squirrel waiting in my trees for his next raid on a tray of peanuts.

One of my favorite places. Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island. Yes, the trees really are that big.

This is what my barbeque looks like in winter. It will melt off by mid May.

Floating down the river near Mount Robson. Beaver dam in the foreground.

Whoo Hoo. My earrings have arrived from Treak Cliff Caverns, UK. The stone is Blue John set in silver and this is the only place on the planet it is mined. I did have a pair but lost one of them. These are nicer, though.

This is our daily visitor on our deck rail. He comes to raid the peanuts we put out for the larger birds. He is also putting his loot into nearby caches so the birds don't get them. I fully expect to unearth a whole bunch of peanuts from one of my hanging baskets.

Edmonton, Alberta on a -30c day. A trifle brisk.

A vacation photo from the Rockies. This is taken around 5 am. I had gone out of the cabin early in the hope of catching wildlife but instead snagged this shot, which was so worth it.

When choosing one's bed, make sure the pillows are pumped up first and one has banished all potential interlopers. LOL

Moisture gives the trees white foliage. Quite a moderate dump of the white stuff.

The sunbather in winter. Any patch of sunlight will do or in front of the fire.

Casper cat in summer under his hosta roof.

Taken about six weeks back. There is now at least a foot of snow on top of that. I rather think we will have a white xmas.

My needy cat adores going out to sit in 'his' fernery. He is invisible to his mind while in his hosta lair. Unfortunately, we are in the depths of a Canadian winter so all this is but a memory until next year.

Taken near Jasper, Alberta, before the fire.

On a road somewhere in the Canadian Rockies. Not saying where as I don't want hunters going there. Oh and there are no cars as everyone had stopped and was busy trying to get a good photo while the bear make a leisurely stroll across the road.

My Mountain Ash tree has lots of berries this year and apparently, snow hats.

So, the dh went out the back to fill up the bird feeder. Cue Mr. Spoiled barreling out after him. There is a covering of snow on the deck. Quick U-turn follows and he comes barreling in at about twice the rate he went out. He now has chilly and damp feet. Not a happy camper.

This is a cat that almost died from the foul additives in tap water. Didn't do us a bunch of good, either. Here he is, all better and enjoying the shade on our deck. We are all on spring water now. It has to say spring water on the bottle or what you get is decanted tap water.
