Lots of uncertainty in today's severe weather forecast. In related news, DOGE has suspended and cut weather balloon launches southwest of MN, giving meteorologists and weather models less data to go off of. Less certainty and less accuracy in forecasts should be expected unless funding is restored.

Another night with a chance for northern lights in MN. They are currently visible with a camera over Lake Minnetonka but not visible to the naked eye.

MN Aurora watchers: The forecasted CME arrived right on time this evening but hasn't produced conditions associated with a good aurora showing. HPI is at a very low 14. Plus it's cloudy. Stay cozy at home!

Attention Aurora hunters: Storm watch for Thursday night. To read the forecast, subtract 6 hours to convert UTC to CST. The KP6 forecast is for 9pm CST Thurs night. Then add +/- 12 hours because forecasts are imprecise. Monitor conditions during that window. If conditions are good, head outside!
